Vybz Kartel catches a major break in his high profile murder trial today.
Home Circuit Judge Bryan Sykes denied a motion by the prosecution to have a witness statement be entered into evidence.

After three days of hearing arguments from bothe prosecution and Vybz Kartel’s lawyers, Sykes sided with the defense in the crucial matter.
Justice Sykes told prosecutors in court today that he is not convince they made enough effort to locate the witness, who is believed to be in hiding.
The judge has ordered the jury back in court tomorrow where the case will continue.
Vybz Kartel, born Adidja Palmer, is on trial for the murder of Barrington “Bossie” Burton.
Nigel Thompson and Lenburgh McDonald are also charged with Burton’s murder.
According to official police report, Burton, who is a St. Catherine promoter, was gunned down in Gregory Park on July 12, 2011 while standing with a group of friends along Walkers Avenue.
A 12-member jury could reach a verdict by the end of this week.
